TJL Cap Lamps & Charging Solutions
Wacel supplies TJL cap lamps and supporting charging infrastructure suitable for underground and surface operations. We help you select practical solutions aligned to your operating environment, shift patterns, safety requirements and site procedures.
From a productivity and compliance perspective, the charging and storage system is just as important as the lamp itself. We therefore support cap lamp supply together with robust charging rack options and spares/support for long-term availability.
Optional NFC/PDS tags and audible, vibration or visual LED alerts can support site proximity-detection requirements. Battery life is rated for more than 1,000 charge cycles under recommended operating conditions.
Capabilities
We support selection and supply of cap lamp charging systems and related components aligned to site standards and operational needs, including desktop chargers, fixed racks and combination racks for cap lamps with SCSR/rescue packs.
We support supply of desk top chargers designed to accommodate cap lamps in convenient office, control room or home-use environments.
Key electrical and indication features include:
- 220 VAC input.
- 5 VDC output.
- 2 LED indication with PC boards.
This option is useful for small quantities, supervisory staff or situations where centralized rack charging is not required.
For centralized lamprooms and shift-based operations, we support cap lamp charging racks that accommodate cap lamps only.
Typical rack features include:
- 220 VAC input.
- 5 VDC output.
- 3 LED indication with PC boards.
- 12 VDC combo models also available to work from car-lighter sockets (useful for mobile/off-grid applications).
These options support disciplined issuing/return processes and help keep lamps charged and available at the start of each shift.
Where your site requires cap lamps to be issued together with SCSR (Self Contained Self Rescuer) units or rescue packs, we support combination rack configurations designed for organized storage and lock-away control.
Available configurations include:
- Combination charging racks configured over-and-under the shelf to accommodate both cap lamps and SCSR/rescue packs.
- Long bracket combination cap lamp charging racks designed to accommodate a cap lamp and an SCSR/rescue pack on a single locking bracket.

- 220 VAC input.
- 5 VDC output.
- 2 LED indication with PC boards.

Support
We can support customization and ongoing availability for charging systems, including spares and service support.
Common customization options include input VAC of 110, 380 and 525, and output VDC of 5 to 6.5 (output adjustments during manufacturing can be accommodated, while field adjustments may be chargeable depending on scope).
For operational continuity, we can assist with maintenance and breakdown support and facilitate supply of key spares such as PC boards, locking brackets and power supplies.
